There are so many amazing opportunities that come out of working at an amazing non-profit like Theatre Action Project. It is great to see what other non-profits are up to as well!

I wanted to take the opportunity to share with you what Amanda Hashagen, Founder and CEO of CreativeWorks, is doing to spread a creative vision to the Kansas City, Mo area. CreativeWorks “vision is to facilitate educational and socially relevant arts experiences which foster confidence, character and community. We envision our programs contributing to an equitable world free of violence, where all individuals feel empowered to discover and achieve their potential.”

They recently started a campaign called “Stories from the Streets” which is a digital/media storytelling project with Synergy Services’ Transitional Living Program for homeless youth. I would like to share a video that they have helped the youth create called “Home Is”. Please enjoy the video and the amazing work that Amanda is helping to do in the Kansas City Area.
