How Changing Lives Works Together

by Nitra Gutierrez, Middle School and High School Program Associate

Most people wonder how a group of 25 ensemble members can work together to create a play.  We try our best to make the process as much fun as the final product. Using a variety of techniques to build our story helps us from getting caught in a rut.  Here are some photos of some things we do to mix things up . . .

PS – As an ensemble, our favorite cupcakes are the best kind — the cupcakes geographically nearest to us!!  Cupcakes beware — before we put you in our bellies!!
If you love cupcakes as much as we do, Come out to Theatre Action Project’s Cupcake-A-Doodle-Do! on October 22nd from 12-3 pm at Central Market North. It is going to be fantastic family fun (and you can never go wrong with cupcakes)!

About creativeactionaustin

We are based in Austin, Texas and reach more than 16,000 young people every year through our unique blend of theatre and education programs. Our programs expose young people to critical social problems and offer opportunities for them to creatively think about how they can be a part of solutions to these problems. Creative Action is a unique blend of art and education – for us, the two are intertwined. We believe that using the arts as a teaching method provides a fun, engaging and inspiring way to learn – it incorporates the whole mind and body.
