Teen Photography Contest

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Here is your chance to let your photography tell YOUR story.

Submit up to three (3) original photographs (with captions) that illustrate the positive, safe, strong relationships in your life.

Winning photographers will receive $25.00 and their photos will be featured on

Submit photos that…

… promote safe, healthy, respectful teen relationships.

… make a statement against violence or abuse in relationships.

… show friends, family, teachers, coaches, etc. (they don’t have to be dating relationships!)

… empower victims of violence to have a voice

… challenge people to think about their own relationships.

  • Photo submissions will be judged on 5 criteria: Composition (20%) , Creativity (20%), Originality (20%), Emotional Impact (20%), “Story” (20%)
  • Photos may be black and white, color, digitally-enhanced, etc.

Contest Deadline: May 15th, 2010!!!

We are based in Austin, Texas and reach more than 16,000 young people every year through our unique blend of theatre and education programs.Our programs expose young people to critical social problems and offer opportunities for them to creatively think about how they can be a part of solutions to these problems. Creative Action is a unique blend of art and education – for us, the two are intertwined. We believe that using the arts as a teaching method provides a fun, engaging and inspiring way to learn – it incorporates the whole mind and body.
