Big Thanks to TAP’s First Night Volunteers

Although First Night Austin was almost a month ago, TAP wants to extend a huge thank you to those who volunteered to help make TAP’s First Night Austin project, “Keep the Night Alive,” a success! Well over 100 volunteers participated at parade building days, HEB Day (click here to read an article highlighting the project & its’ volunteers), Austin Children’s Museum, Office Build Days and at First Night itself. We even had a last-minute surprise visit from 17 Tokyo Electron employees. Big thanks to our amazing photographers (Carol, Edward & Bruce) who did a wonderful job documenting the project, Chell Parkins for always saving the day, and all the
parents, kids and school personnel who participated.

Huge thanks to the following local bakeries for donating TONS of yummies:
Lucy’s Cakes, Moonlight Bakery, Sweet Tempered & Sweetish Hill!

About creativeactionaustin

We are based in Austin, Texas and reach more than 16,000 young people every year through our unique blend of theatre and education programs. Our programs expose young people to critical social problems and offer opportunities for them to creatively think about how they can be a part of solutions to these problems. Creative Action is a unique blend of art and education – for us, the two are intertwined. We believe that using the arts as a teaching method provides a fun, engaging and inspiring way to learn – it incorporates the whole mind and body.
