by Susie Gidseg, Managing Director of Changing Lives
Last year I was launched quickly into my first year of Changing Lives. After being hired at the end of August, we were already into auditions, and immediately into the rehearsal process and the booking of our spring tour. The Changing lives students of 10-11 WERE Changing Lives to me, the only group I had ever known, and we learned and grew together.
When the summer group came, I was again surprised. What is this—More amazing students? More kids with passion? Teens that enjoy writing and performing and are willing to do this during their summer break?
As we approach auditions again, it is with excitement. What will this new group be like? What changes will our process take? What new memories, new laughs, new deep discussions will we have as an ensemble. How will we create? What will our process be? How many lives will we change as an ensemble?
Are you a good fit for Changing Lives?
•Are you a student between 8-12 grade?
•Do you have access to reliable transportation?
•Do you have availability T/Th evenings from 7-9 pm?
•Can you commit to participating in the fall and the spring?
•Do you love theatre and writing?
•Do you want to create art that speaks to teens about healthy relationships– and get PAID for it?
•Do you have the time to dedicate to this ensemble?
If this sounds like you– we would love to have you audition for our ensemble. Changing Lives accepts new students every fall.
